Dear Students;
The National Internship Program (NIP) was initiated by the Presidential Human Resources Office in order to ensure that our young people benefit from internship opportunities offered by public institutions and private sector organizations within the framework of equal opportunity and in accordance with the principles of merit.
Through the program; it is aimed to increase the employability of our young people with a transparent, traceable, and innovative evaluation method, to support equality of opportunity in accessing career opportunities, and to expand the internship opportunity to all departments, not just technical departments that require a compulsory internship.
In 2022, the scope of the National Internship Program was expanded to include students studying in vocational and technical secondary education institutions in order to facilitate meeting the human resource needs of our SMEs and to support the employability of students studying in vocational and technical secondary education institutions.
Students applying to the Program are evaluated on the basis of their academic/vocational, artistic/social, and sportive competence scores, taking into account their performance throughout their education life, their efforts to increase their skills, and their achievements. Employers, on the other hand, send internship offers to students based on their scores in these competency areas without seeing their credentials.
The Program, which is admired not only for its success at home but also abroad and has twice been cited by the OECD as a model practice for member countries, has given many young people at the beginning of their professional lives the chance to experience business life while they are still students and to shape their career journey.
